Zeus - 8 Weeks

Zeus is now 8 weeks old! :) Here are some of the latest pictures of the little guy. Enjoy!

Zeus-tastic!

Yesterday we added a member to our family: Zeus (aka Zeus-tastic, Zeusie, Z). He's a 7-week-old Akita that we got from a family in Elizabeth. He's not to sure about his new surroundings or new sister, but he's adjusting. His favorite things so far are romping in the grass, whining at night, cuddling, and eating lobsters (stuffed ones). This morning Sooner got in trouble for trying to eat his food and steal his babies. She's trying to adjust, too! But as you can see in the pictures below, they've developed a love-hate relationship, and I think that's a good start! At least there's SOME love in there! Hopefully you all can meet the new babe sometime soon! He's a little roly-poly muffin. :)

After I was born, my two baby brothers came to this earth, and it's been so wonderful to have them in my life. It was great growing up with brothers to be able to rough-house, fight, catch bugs, and play outside. We had such a blast through our childhood. I love them so much. They are my rocks (and they rock!)

Now that I am "officially" part of Clayton's family, I have two more brothers and two sisters. It's been a wonderful journey creating relationships with sisters. My heart belongs to all of my brothers, and I've grown to love and appreciate the joy sisters can bring to life.


Today Allie sent me a poem she wrote about me. It touched my heart :) She is incredible. It goes like this:

Amanda Who
Amanda who is random like confetti cake
And asks what she can do to help
Who is as sweet as ice cream
Who is the beach in Mexico
Who has spirals of sunshine
Who is a child at heart
Who tells me I'm her little Apple
Whose bright greenish eyes sparkle like stars

Our First Blog!

Hi everyone! Well, it's exciting news--we've created a blog! :) We're happy to have a way to update everyone through pictures, thoughts, and commentary (beware--we're newbies!).


We just recently moved to Superior into a town home with Sooner, our pride and joy. She's our Akita-mix puppy, and we love her so much! She's the bomb.

On August 2, 2008, we tied the knot! The wedding was a a whirlwind, but we thoroughly enjoyed our friends and family coming together to celebrate such a momentous occasion. We went to Kauai for our honeymoon, and it was nothing short of amazing! It was full of beaches, pools, reading, helicopter rides, romantic dinners, and lots of relaxing. Now, if only we could go back....
